As announced at Fall Business Meeting 2022 last week, we’re excited to share that this year’s Chief Development Officer of the year is Jena Pado from Dayton Children’s.  Jena is always willing to lend her expertise and insight to benefit other markets across the network. Without fail, Jena is one of the first people to offer to participate in additional committees and responsibilities on the CDO Advisory Council, including the Brand sub-committee and planning of the CDO Summit and Fall Business Meeting and Children’s Hospitals Week.  

As an invaluable member of the Membership Agreement Committee, Jena spent countless hours working to ensure a sound and logical process and thoroughly and effectively communicating across the network. Jena took it upon herself to give a considerable amount of time and attention to many individual markets, walking through their specific questions and concerns and offering her unbiased insight from the perspective of a fellow CDO. Frances Fu, Chief Financial Officer of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals said “Jena was my CDO partner in working on the 2023 membership agreement and fee formula, and she was amazing!  As a partner and a leader, she is insightful, communicative, and cares about making sure we’re making the best decisions for the entire network.  It was a true pleasure working with her and getting to know her.”
