Elevating Possibilities: A Strategic Update on Our Organizational Model
At Children’s Miracle Network, our mission is to bring people together to raise funds for children’s healthcare in local communities. To remain the leading charity impacting children’s health, we must ensure our infrastructure is as agile and resilient as the network we support.
Following extensive field feedback and internal reflection, we are pleased to announce this strategic reorganization. This evolution clarifies ownership and better connects our programs, partnerships and foundation relationships under our Transform 2027 plan. At the center of this work is a continued commitment to listening to our Chief Development Officer and Foundation Leaders, strengthening relationships and ensuring our structure supports both local market needs and opportunities.
Leadership & Strategic Alignment:
Under the leadership of Kristen Schavemaker, Chief Partnerships Officer, we have aligned foundation, corporate, programs and business development to create a more connected, strategic approach:
- Our Foundation Partnerships are now structured into two geographic regions, led by Barbara O’Regan (West) and Emily Hornak (East), VPs of Foundation Partnerships, who provide strategic guidance and coaching to support your market-level growth.
- Robin Valentino, VP of Programs & Partnership Operations, leads the infrastructure for our core programs—including Peer-to-Peer (Dance Marathon, Extra Life), Media and Program Operations—ensuring you have a strong operational backbone.
- Julie Breckenkamp, VP of Corporate Partnerships, and Staci Cross, VP of Program Partnerships & Business Development, will lead our efforts to scale new revenue and corporate partnerships, ensuring we seamlessly connect national opportunities with local execution.
To ensure these partnership teams have the resources they need to thrive, we are also aligning our marketing and growth, providing a holistic support system:
- Marcia Miller, Chief Marketing Officer, will focus on strategic thinking and brand narrative to ensure our stories reach more people with greater impact.
- Frances Fu, Chief Financial & Growth Officer, will focus on financial stewardship and business growth strategy, overseeing IT and data analytics to drive scalability.
- Andrew Sjoblom, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel, will lead our Legal, Human Resources and Culture to foster a high-performance organization.
The Strategic Impact for Your Foundation or Hospital
This shift from a more effective and strategic organizational alignment is designed to deliver three key outcomes:
- Operational Efficiency: With this restructure, we are reducing organizational silos and accelerating decision-making speed.
- Enterprise Synergy: Aligning Corporate Partnerships directly with our Programs team ensures that national enterprise opportunities are ready for local activation.
- Scalable Infrastructure: Our growth & technology stewardship focus ensures we invest in the infrastructure necessary to meet the needs of our network today and in the future.
For most of our partners, this transition will be seamless. Behind the scenes, your teams will benefit from a more robust support system designed to drive innovation and long-term impact.
