Spotlight: Sam’s Club Launches Associate Pickleball Challenge to Reach $6M Goal
Following an outstanding national campaign that raised $5.1 million to support children’s hospitals across our network, Sam’s Club corporate leadership (spearheaded by their Chief Operating Officer) has launched an internal Associate Pickleball Challenge to push total campaign giving past the $6 million milestone!
This high-energy initiative is designed to rally club associates nationwide, turning friendly competition into life-changing support for kids in local communities.
Campaign Snapshot
- The Target: Each participating club is challenged to raise $2,000 within a two-week window through associate-driven fundraising activities.
- The Collective Impact: Full participation across all clubs unlocks an additional $1.2 million, driving a total 2026 campaign support over $6 million.
- Audience & Scope: This campaign is entirely internal and associate focused. No external public marketing, member-facing ask or social media promotion is required.
How Your Foundation & Hospital Can Support
Because this challenge is associate led, our primary focus is celebrating their success and fueling their momentum:
- Reach out to your local club managers and teams to thank them for their incredible $5.1 million achievement.
- Equip club leadership with patient family impact stories, local photos or quotes showing how associate generosity directly benefits the local children’s hospital.
- Share quick, fun fundraising ideas or join a morning huddle virtually/in person if invited, helping them cross that $2,000 threshold quickly.
