Chris Broughton-Spruill Retires from Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU
After more than 25 years of service, Chris Broughton-Spruill has decided to retire from her role as President of Children’s Hospital Foundation on June 30, 2018. Chris has been a wonderful supporter of CMN Hospitals throughout her tenure and has been a passionate leader for the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU in the Richmond-Petersburg CMN Hospitals market.
Chris began her career at Children’s Hospital in June 1991, and she has guided the Foundation through many successful projects in support of the hospital, including the merger between Children’s Hospital and VCU Children’s Services to create Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU in 2010. Under her leadership, the Foundation has paid or pledged nearly $80 million to the hospital since then. The programs and services that are available to children in Central Virginia have improved tremendously because of her commitment.
In her retirement, Chris plans to enjoy spending time with her husband of 28 years, Gary, and dedicate more time to riding her Connemara horse, Calypso.
All of us at CMN Hospitals congratulate Chris on a successful miracle-making career.
