2019 Partnership Model Board of Trustees Vote Outcome Announcement
We are pleased to inform you that the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Board of Trustees has voted to accept the proposed 2019 partnership model. We greatly appreciate those who took time to offer feedback and insight to the model that was proposed at Fall Business Meeting in 2017 and throughout the entire process which began spring 2016.
We want to acknowledge the CDO Advisory Committee for their time, effort and deep consideration they gave to the new partnership model. The committee worked diligently to engage stakeholders, listen, seek feedback and make adjustments to deliver the most collaboratively designed model. In fact, the four elements that make up this new plan came from CDO’s across the country. We are confident that this new model will enhance our partnership and help us raise more money for the kids in your communities.
The 2019 partnership model is being calculated using the following factors:
- Population (25%): Share of national population
- Average Annual Household Income (25%): Calculated with average annual household income blended with cost of living index
- Partner Total (50%): There are four factors in the calculation – Corporate Partners, Radiothon, Dance Marathon and Extra Life (CMN Hospitals core fundraising activities). Each of the fundraising categories are weighted based on share of the total for the four categories above.
- Totals are based on 2017 direct costs and 2016 fundraising results. Because final fundraising results will not be available until March 2018, 2016 results were used for this model to give hospitals and leadership adequate time to analyze and process results.
The membership fee structure will be effective for three years and the base fee payment is due January 1, 2019. Fee adjustments will be reviewed and approved/declined by the Board of Trustees at least six months prior to the fee due date and the yearly increase shall not exceed 10% unless there are extenuating circumstances.
We want to thank you for your steadfast support, our shared partnership and commitment to do what is best for the children.
