Rite Aid announced on February 20 that it has entered into a merger agreement with Albertsons Companies. According to a news release, most Albertsons Companies pharmacies will be rebranded as Rite Aid, and the company will continue to operate Rite Aid stand-alone pharmacies. In total, the combined company will operate 4,900 locations, 4,350 pharmacy counters, and 320 clinics across 38 states and Washington, D.C. (Please note the merger is subject to regulatory approval and may change.)

As a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partner, the 2018 Rite Aid fundraising campaign will continue as planned in approximately 4,300 Rite Aid locations.
