Change to U.S. Walmart & Sam’s Club Campaign Relaunch Dates

On 9/6/17, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals President & CEO John Lauck announced a change to the dates of the Walmart & Sam’s Club campaign relaunch. The campaign will now take place from September 21 through October 29 (an additional seven days of fundraising!). The following message was sent to all U.S. hospital markets along with this attachment.

Dear hospital partners,

Thank you for your patience as we work through the repercussions of Hurricane Harvey.

After much thought into how to best support our campaign considering the recent hurricane-related events, our partners at Walmart decided to delay the relaunch of the Walmart and Sam’s Club register campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to Thursday, September 21 at 12:01 a.m. The campaign will now run through Sunday, October 29 at 11:59 p.m.

Walmart made this decision to maximize customer engagement and lengthen the campaign from its original 35 days to an extended 42 days. We believe this decision will best serve our fundraising efforts and help raise more money for your hospitals. In speaking with Walmart leadership about this it’s clear to me they are absolutely committed to reaching the fundraising goals we have set together. I am so proud of our Network for doing whatever it takes to put Kids First. The adjustments you, our partners and staff are making during this unprecedented time is inspiring and humbling.

Again, thank you for your continued patience and support. I can’t wait to see the great things we can do for the kids with seven more days of fundraising!
