Partnership Agreement Report (Survey Included – Please Respond)
To MY Fellow CDO’s:
Since our last meeting at the Summit in Orlando, we have continued the discovery phase of our subcommittee’s task to develop a Partnership Agreement for the 2018 CMNH contract year.
As I am sure everyone of us realizes, this is a complex issue. Here are just a few of the factors we are considering in developing a new model.
We know that:
One size does not fit all in terms of the member hospitals.
Member fees are the largest source of revenue to the national organization.
National has explored other revenue producing options but none seem feasible because they would either be in competition with us as member hospitals or take away funding that they would rather direct to us and the children we serve.
We need a model that creates a strong, sustainable national organization that fosters growth through innovation.
As we look at these issues, and getting feedback from other CDO’s and key CMNH leadership it occurred to us that what we really need is a Partnership Agreement based on trust, mutual accountability, transparency and open communication. To that end, I ask each of you to consider this question. What would that agreement look like?
What would a true partnership agreement between each of our hospitals and CMNH look like? Our subcommittee would like your feedback. I have every assurance that the national leadership is on board with this question and wants to develop a model agreement that will allow all of us
to do what we are most passionate about, creating a better life for the children we serve.
